What follows here is just a small selection of their campaign to silence me.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE...

E-m@il:
Fact:  I have been an Internet user since October 1996.  I set up the very first Spiritualist web site here in the UK in May 1997.  In all that time I had never once received a bad e-m@il.  However, just one day immediately after the SNU's bruising, and the 'dissolving' of their interim injunction, I began to receive some very nasty e-m@ils indeed.

But surely you have their reciprocal address?
No...
The senders are using an anonymous java script program, which sends out e-m@ils that can claim to be from anywhere or attached to any site the 'bandit' so desires.
These e-m@ils are still ongoing.

So what are you saying;  these e-m@ils are from the SNU?
I know they're not from the SNU.

So what kind of e-m@ils are they?
Some are rude and designed to intimidate.
Some are pornographic, and explicitly so.
Some are for bogus credit card orders for goods and services in my name but completely unknown to me.
Some contain viruses designed to destroy my computer's memory.

Then are you saying that it is the SNU who's responsible?
Absolutely not!!

Then surely it's coincidence?
Of course it's a coincidence...like winning the lottery...twice!

Then who's doing this?
I'm not prepared to say but I know the answer lies just beneath my feet.

Interception of the Royal Mail by the SNU committee of occupation.
As some of you will be aware, I rent the apartment above the church.  The church and I logistically share the same mailbox.  A number of letters addressed to me have disappeared since the SNU appointed committee of occupation took over the building.  Two letters had clearly been opened and resealed by them.  I spoke with both senders who are known to me and they assured me they were properly sealed.  I tackled the SNU committee of occupation downstairs with regard to this criminal offence.  When faced with the clear evidence they suddenly became very inarticulate, stutterey and wanted nothing more than to escape behind a closed door.

"As cowards often do." Dickens quote.

The SNU appointed Church President replied that;
"The opening of my mail was no worse than what I was writing about the SNU on the web."

I replied that;
"What I am publishing on the internet is legal; within my rights and unlike their interception of my Royal Mail, not a criminal offence!"

The sensitive letters in question were clearly marked Mr. Kevin West. They did not refer to my position as the former President.

In that event one could at least have afforded them some margin for error. Even so, I reminded them that even in the event of a letter being addressed to the church with the name 'Kevin West' conspicuously written on the envelop, I still have legal entitlement to open such and not they.

Smear campaign.
As many of you will be aware, for many years now I've travelled the country and the USA serving churches and centres as a Spiritualist Medium.  The local branch of the Spiritualist National Union (aka, the committee of occupation) has put many centres and churches under considerable pressure to cancel my bookings, teachings and addresses.  Sadly, they have complied.

Here are the names of just a few who've cancelled me...

Birkenhead Spiritualist Church
Chester Spiritualist Church
Liverpool Spiritualist Church
Wallasey Spiritualist Church
Warrington Spiritualist Church
Widnes Spiritualist Church
And obviously, Waterloo Spiritualist Church.

These churches have written or telephoned me in an apologetic manner expressing deep concern about the SNU's strong arm tactics.  But sadly, like so many others under SNU affiliation, they feel threatened and too weak to resist the Union's coup d'état and have therefore been left no option other than to cancel my bookings with them.

This last part gives more concern to me than may at first seem evident.

Firstly, by cancelling me before the trial they are prejudging and indeed have already made up their minds.  [Acting as if they know me not].

Secondly, they are under no obligation to do as the SNU agents pressure them to do.  All churches and centres can book who they like and when they like.  The SNU has no legal right to question any democratically elected committee's decisions in respect of persons booked to serve.

Thirdly, and on a more personal note.  How quickly these and other churches forget the help they have received from me over the years, especially when they've been let down.  People I thought were my friends.
 

Another nasty tactic by the "Spiritualists'?" Nasty Union.
This time in the form of letters sent to the Council Tax offices, Legal Aid Services Commission and all other apposite authorities. These letters allege that I am using my apartment for the purposes of business and undeclared earnings.

The allegations took the form of me being a deceiver, a cheat, a liar and a tax-dodger.

It could be argued, and if not then certainly strongly suggested, that they know their own tricks best!

Needless to say, I was completely exonerated.

With regard to the Legal Aid, I have a citizens' right to legal representation in Court.  It is a fundamental right of all British people.  It seems the SNU are trying to deny me that right too.
 

A particularly nasty threat...
I do apologise in advance for what follows here.  Over the weeks I have consulted with the Spirit World on this next part, and strangely, all that comes back is,
"Kevin, if you're going to tell it;  then tell it all!"
Here goes...

Recently, when I was coming down the stairs from my apartment (minding my own business), I was once again stopped by one of three of their party in the communal hallway.  At least one of the SNU appointed committee watched what happened next and I would further say put this person up to it.  He was extremely aggressive when he told me;

"I switched off your electric supply.  If you've got something to say then you say it to me."

He was clutching a live electric drill.  This was held eighteen inches from but up level with my face.  He then added;

"You fucking start me, mate, and I'll be your worst nightmare!"

Very nice.

And on it goes...(None spoke with Liverpool accents).

I wonder if that's what the SNU President, Duncan Gascoigne (Minister) means when he said at conference the other week [and in the Psychic News, 28th July 2001] in a sideways snipe at myself, that;

"This year the Union has had occasion to make a firm decision to go into a church and remove the officers and committee because they were not prepared to uphold the [SNU] constitution.  I can promise you this, that should the need arise again, we will go in again!  WE MEAN BUSINESS!!"

Duncan, I wonder if the Spirit World are as proud of you as you are of yourselves?
