10 Basic Hints On

C i r c l e  W o r k !

The Chakra Wheel
Some personal hints on an approach to the
discipline, though not in any particular order ...

1.  You must strongly question your reasons for sitting. Circles should not last longer than one hour.  All sitters must be in a healthy state of mind, body and spirit.

2.  Do not be disappointed if a circle doesn't feel right.  It is simply an indication that you need to keep looking.  The right BLEND is essential.  It takes a special generosity of spirit to [firstly] sit, and [secondly] sit for others.  The EGO and any form of self is enemy to the progress of the circle.  Little, if any, work will take place in a circle that is not welcoming to our Spirit friends and Spirit Power.

3.  A good, strong and loving circle leader is required ~ a Medium who can tune~in and tell what's going on, and where everyone is at.  Also, which gift is to be developed and in whom.  They must command the respect of all.

4.  Pick a convenient day in the week upon which to meet in a suitable, quiet location free from outside
interferences.  Never be late!  Always arrive in good time.  Send your thoughts out through the day.  Try to think of nice, spiritual things.

5.  Preparing the room. Make sure it is free of odours ~ essential for the development of clairsentience.  No smoking allowed in the room at anytime during the interim periods.  Keep it dust free - especially if you have physical phenomena.  Remember, YOU control the light in the room.  Make sure, if desirable, and for certain types of mediumship, that full blackout is achievable.  The temperature of the room should be comfortable ~ a thermometer would be handy, as the less physical distractions, the better.

6.  The sitters should have showered on the day of sitting.  They should refrain from wearing perfumes or
aftershaves, etc.  Bright clothing, glistening jewellery and so forth are to be avoided.  Big meals are not a good idea before sitting as nature tends to take make us drowsy afterwards.  It will be hard for the sitter to maintain full alertness.  No alcohol whatsoever to be consumed on the day of sitting! You may partake post circle only.

7.  Each person should know exactly why they are sitting in the circle.  Each person should know who their doorkeeper is.  Each person should be able to sit properly and not fidget.

8.  Sadly considered 'old fashioned', the singing of favourite hymns or a loved one's favourite song is still a desirous way of making contact.  Also, it lifts the atmosphere, raises the vibrations and gets the energies going.  Is your circle welcoming to our Spirit friends?  A good tester question I always ask my sitters is this, 'If you were in the Spirit World now, would you give up your time to come here?'

9.  Chakras ~ if they work for you ~ may be a desirable way of opening up the channels.  Be very careful where the sacred chakras are concerned.  If you have not mastered them then don't use them.  These sacred organs will automatically open up anyway if you are working correctly and will duly close when you are finished.  It is essential that each sitter knows how to and [indeed] definitely does close down.

10.  Remember, never blame the Spirit World or even yourselves ~ Spirit knows best!  They can only do as
good as the material they've been given to work with.  The better the discipline of the circle, then so better shall the results be.  And remember...enjoy your sitting.
